Mammoth Type — A big-key keyboard for iPhone

Mammoth Type

An iPhone keyboard with enormous keys — easy to see, easy to hit. Nothing you type is saved or sent, and the big keys are free forever.

Coming to the App Store

Free to download · The big keys are free forever

The mammoth met the cold with the two things that actually work against it: size, and a thick coat. Nothing clever, just more of what helps.

A keyboard for hard days should work the same way. Bigger targets, clearer letters, warmer contrast, and nothing new to learn.

Size

Three key sizes. All three are free.

Pick the one that suits you and change it whenever you like. Every size is in the free app.

Privacy

What Mammoth Type knows about you: nothing.

  • Typing is never saved

What you type is not stored and not sent. It goes to the app you are typing in, and nowhere else.

  • No account, ever

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. The app does not know who you are.

  • Full Access is optional

iOS asks about Full Access for every keyboard. Mammoth Type only uses it for tap vibration. Skip it and everything else still works.

Setup

Switching it on takes about a minute, once.

  1. Open the iPhone's Settings app, then General, then Keyboard.

  2. Tap Keyboards, then Add New Keyboard, and choose Mammoth Type.

  3. When you next type, tap the globe key to switch to Mammoth Type.

If you get stuck, write to the studio and a person will answer.
